Heterodox transients in time-domain induced polarization

چکیده
Negative-induced polarization (IP) time-domain transients, sign-changing or nonmonotonically decaying are currently often considered as measurement errors and removed in data processing. These here called heterodox the sense of other than generally accepted signals, might originate from errors, inductive effects, poor signal processing, but synthetic modeling field measurements indicate that these transients physically possible. A simple theoretical explanation basic mechanism for their origin can be found through superposition contributions regions with different sensitivities, such identified processing full-waveform IP data. mathematical classification orthodox into six types is evaluated based on temporal development sign amplitude derivative. The shapes further investigated by considering subsurface Cole-Cole parameter sensitivities time-varying potential 2D models. forward response computed a time transformation accounts current waveform. This approach allows quantitative unbiased estimates obtained when using multiple direct-current computations, done inversion Time-domain may differ traditionally expected decaying-like electrode geometry has signs areas parameters. Para-Hydrogen Induced Polarization at Time Domain NMR Spectrometer
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is a widely used spectroscopic method in a broad range of disciplines. Unfortunately NMR suffers from a low intrinsic sensitivity. The low sensitivity of NMR can be successfully improved by application of hyperpolarization technique called Para-Hydrogen Induced Polarization (PHIP) which was discovered in 1986 [1-3]. Till now, a substantial progress in the method...

We have demonstrated the generation of a 320 Gb/s NyquistOTDM signal by rectangular filtering on an RZ-OTDM signal with the filter bandwidth (320 GHz) equal to the baud rate (320 Gbaud) and the reception of such a Nyquist-OTDM signal using polarization-insensitive time-domain optical Fourier transformation (TD-OFT) followed by passive filtering. After the time-to-frequency mapping in the TD-OFT...

Time-locked perceptual fading induced by visual transients.
After prolonged fixation, a stationary object placed in the peripheral visual field fades and disappears from our visual awareness, especially at low luminance contrast (the Troxler effect). Here, we report that similar fading can be triggered by visual transients, such as additional visual stimuli flashed near the object, apparent motion, or a brief removal of the object itself (blinking). The...
متن کاملTime-resolved Microwave Induced Optical Nuclear Polarization
It was shown that a higher nuclear polarization can be achieved by transferring the high population differences of the electronic sublevels of photoexcited triplet states in molecular crystals to the nuclear spin system /I/. This transfer occurs in the level anticrossing area of an external magnetic field BQ /2/ or with simultaneous irradiation of light and microwave, a method which was termed ...
